Well... I can't say they are being 100% fair, but you can't really blame them either. They probably have better things to do than to browse "newest" all day and try to get rid of the obscene images. I think they remove most of the things that get reported to them. So if regular deviants don't report the bad pics, they'll stay on DA. However, if idiots report the cool stuff, it gets removed as well. Yes, the DA staff really should be more careful with that.
But regular deviants like us can make it better! If you see porn pics, then report them!

Hmm you do have a point. But I just see so many mild pics taken down and it really hurts the artist. was one of the most recent victims. She's so scared that she'll be banned. Her art is some of the best I've seen. She really loves what she does, and gets involved with her art on a personal level. She puts her heart and soul into each piece, and though it might seem a bit wierd that she's dedicated her life to the pairing of Ash and Misty, it's what she loves and so I say fine by me. I've seen stranger things after all. Her art is amazing and it pains me when she gets upset that her hard work is being pissed upon by idiots who apparently have nothing better to do than get others in trouble and the DA staff.


It's just sad. If they removed my art I'd be upset too. But she and others here are attatched to their art on a didfferent level than you and me. So I really feel sad for her.

I just wish DA would spend more time on the important things such as art theft. 's pics are constantly being stolen. But she more often than not has to fight for her case.

So I don't have mcuh sympathy for the DA staff.

Yeah, what happened to *MiyaToriaka sucks, but if you are a popular artist, you must expect things like that. Many people see your stuff, many people envy you, so they may report you for the slightest "violation" against the rules. I do remember the DA staff once posted an article about how they not approve of pairing fanart of underage anime characters (it doesn't count if you make them look older), so they are probably more strict about that than other sexual themed pics. To tell the truth, I didn't know *MiyaToriaka's deleted pictures, so I can't tell how "hardcore" they could have been. Though I remember a friend's drawing of a naked Loveless character got deleted, even though it was all censored and she made him look older and stuff. It wasn't even "sexual", just an anatomy study. Even I have stuff that could easily get taken down... *cough*

I think art theft should be dealt by the artists themselves. Like using watermarks. My art was stolen too. A person was uploading my animal drawings on a different art site as her own drawings. I've been putting the address of my DA page on almost every pic I post since then.

You have no idea how troublesome it is to maintain a large community site like deviantART. Still, maybe they should change the staff members more often to people who actually enjoy doing things like that.
